PRESS RELEASE BY THE MINISTRY FOR SOCIAL AND AFFORDABLE ACCOMMODATION
Minister for Social and Affordable Housing, Roderick Galdes, together with Housing Authority officials, visited the works currently underway on a new social housing project in Qrendi.
The experts responsible for this project confirmed that project is progressing at a very good pace. With an investment of around €5.5 million this project will include 28 new apartments and 15 garages.
During the visit, Minister Galdes stressed that this project will offer a safe and dignified roof to 28 families. “This project, together with the others we have already carried out, as well as those we are delivering on, is a testament to our promise to continue providing more social housing projects for the benefit of the Maltese and Gozitan people. High-quality projects, at the heart of our communities, such as this project in Qrendi, which continues to make a difference in the lives of more beneficiaries,” said Minister Galdes.
The Minister said that ongoing social housing initiatives are delivering positive results, particularly for families in need of State assistance.
