Works on the Cospicua social housing project are progressing, with the development set to include 69 apartments and 97 parking spaces.
Minister for Accommodation and Lands Owen Bonnici visited the ongoing works on another social housing project, this time in Bormla, through which 69 new apartments and 97 parking spaces will be created for vulnerable families.
During the visit, Minister Bonnici followed the progress made on the project, which forms part of the ongoing work to increase social housing so more families can access a quality home that offers security and stability.
“When we invest in social housing, we are investing directly in the quality of life of the most vulnerable families. This project in Bormla will result in 69 new homes and, for every family benefitting from one of them, it represents a new opportunity to look to the future with greater peace of mind and stability,” said Minister Bonnici.
The project represents an investment of around €21 million and will include one-bedroom apartments, as well as two- and three-bedroom apartments. The complex will also include around 97 parking spaces.
Present for the visit were Permanent Secretary Ramon Deguara, Chief Executive Officer of Malita Marlene Attard, Chairman of the Housing Authority Robert Ducker, Chief Executive Officer of the Housing Authority Matthew Zerafa and Mayor of Bormla Marco Agius, together with members of the Bormla Local Council.
The project in Bormla is part of the ongoing investment in social housing, with the aim of creating more quality residential spaces that respond to the needs of vulnerable families and communities.
