In today’s press conference, Minister for Social and Affordable Accommodation Roderick Galdes and Housing Authority CEO Matthew Zerafa announced a new campaign called ‘Ħabbtilna’, aimed at raising awareness of the schemes and services offered by the Housing Authority.
Complementing the campaign are the newly published ‘Schemes and Opportunities’ page on the Housing Authority’s website and a comprehensive catalogue of all initiatives offered. CEO Matthew Zerafa highlighted how this campaign reflects the Authority’s evolution—from providing social accommodation to supporting a wider demographic through various schemes and services.
Through these initiatives, the Housing Authority has:
- Assisted over 12,000 persons in 2024.
- Helped one family every two days achieve their dream of homeownership.
- Supported two families every day to improve housing quality by covering property refurbishment expenses.
While introducing new schemes is important, it is equally essential to ensure that support reaches those in need in a timely manner. The ‘Schemes and Opportunities’ page consolidates all initiatives in one place and provides an interactive interface with filters for age, income, and life stage.
This campaign serves as a valuable reminder that behind every scheme, there is a person making an important decision in their life.
