The First-Time Buyer Scheme is intended for people who acquired their first property after January 1, 2022. Under this scheme, first-time buyers will receive a €10,000 grant in annual instalments of €1,000 over 10 years.
This assistance increases to €20,000 for applicants who hold a valid EU Disability Card issued by Agenzija Sapport and purchase their first residential property after 1 January 2026.
This scheme also applies to second-time buyers who previously owned a residential property but currently do not own another, except for the property purchased after 1 January 2026 as their sole and primary residence.
Through this scheme, the Housing Authority provides a helping hand to people during the first crucial years after making this important investment in their lives and as they take their first steps on the property ladder.
