PRESS RELEASE BY THE MINISTRY FOR SOCIAL AND AFFORDABLE ACCOMMODATION
€900,000 invested in a new social housing project delivering five modern residential units in Siġġiewi.
Minister for Social and Affordable Accommodation Roderick Galdes visited the recently completed, new social housing project in Siġġiewi. This project aims to provide five modern residential units for five families. Each residential unit features an underground garage with parking spaces and a lift, providing easy access to all floors and enhancing convenience and accessibility for residents.
All the works were implemented by the Housing Projects Solutions Ltd (HPS) in collaboration with the Housing Authority, which took care of the building, rock drilling, installation and final finishings, ensuring that each step is complied with the high standards of quality, safety and accessibility.
With a total investment of around €900,000, the project also includes electricity systems, internal and external finishing, flooring, plastering, waterproofing and aperture fitting, works which ensure a secure residential environment, while providing families with a comfortable and modern residence.
“This project not only offers a safe and decent residence to five families but is also clear evidence of the Government’s commitment to provide affordable and inclusive housing in Malta,” said Minister Galdes. He highlighted how such projects make a real difference in the daily lives of families and confirmed that the Government will continue to invest in quality residences that support the community and improve the living standards of the Maltese and Gozitan people.
