Adaptations for Persons with Disability

The Scheme for Persons with Disability provides financial assistance of up to €28,000 to persons with a disability or the elderly to adapt their residence to better suit their needs. 

Through this scheme, the Housing Authority also provides grants to cover the costs of alterations to the existing premises, supporting independent or semi-independent living for eligible applicants while ensuring safety and improved mobility within their homes. 

Before granting financial aid, an occupational therapist conducts a home visit to assess and verify each case, offering tailored technical advice on the necessary adaptation works that best benefit the applicant.
