Aim of the Scheme
The Subsidy on Adaptation Work Scheme provides up to €21,000 in financial assistance for the refurbishment of residential properties in a substandard condition, ensuring they meet habitable and acceptable standards.
Both private and government-owned dwellings are eligible, and applicants can be either landlords or tenants. Property owners can benefit from up to €21,000 for structural and finishing works, while tenants are eligible for up to €15,000 to cover finishing costs. Owners of leased dwellings can receive up to €6,000 for structural works.
To qualify for the minimum subsidy percentage, applicants must have an annual income not exceeding €27,635 and should not possess assets worth more than €60,000.
